Medieval catalogues and documents

Medieval documents listing books belonging to Durham survive from throughout the lifetime of Durham Priory. Most of the significant ones were edited in Catalogi veteres librorum Ecclesiae Cathedralis Dunelm. Catalogues of the library of Durham Cathedral, at various periods, from the conquest to the dissolution, including catalogues of the library of the abbey of Hulne, and of the mss. preserved in the library of Bishop Cosin, at Durham (London: J. B. Nichols, 1838) and will soon be available in a modern edition when the Durham volume of the Corpus of British medieval library catalogues is published.
